Today, there are still more than 83,000 American troops missing in action, according to the Department of Defense  Prisoner of War-Missing Personnel Office. That includes some 73,681 from  World War II; 7,947 from the Korean War; 126 during the Cold War; 1,657  from the Vietnam War; and six from Iraq and other conflicts.  The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (http://www.dpaa.mil)  is dedicated to ensuring that an account, as fully as possible, is completed for those still missing, alive or dead.

To honor and recognize, not just memorialize them, TOVA will be conducting a POW/MIA remembrance service at our September General Membership Meeting on Thursday, September 20. Strong, united support by all TOVA members and Trilogy residents is an important way to create awareness and remembrance for all POW/MIA's and is crucial to America’s POW/MIA's to focus on the need to bring all of our heroes home

The 2019 National POW/MIA Recognition Day is Friday, September 20 and will be remembered each year hereafter on the 3rd Friday in September
