Blood Drive

In accordance with the Covid-19 protective measures, OneBlood Coordinator, Paul Evans, and TOVA's Blood Drive Chairperson, Patrick Wellington, has provided the following measures and guidelines:

  1. Social distancing will be in place

  2. There will be only four persons allowed on the bus 

  3. Masks will be distributed to all potential donors

  4. All persons wishing to donate will have their temperature tested before getting on the bus.  NO ONE will be allowed on the bus if their temperature exceeds 99.5

  5. The usual protocols for donation still exist.  Some are:

    1. Blood count

    2. Pulse reading

    3. Blood pressure

    4. Time spent abroad in a foreign country. If a potential donor cannot pass anyone of the tests they will not be allowed to donate

  6. All blood units from donors will be tested for the antibodies. it will take 24 to 48 hours for results to be determined

Bring your cart.  Reflective vests, bags, and other needed equipment will be supplied.

TOVA is sponsoring BINGO for the VA Community Living Center at Lake Nona.

We meet 12:15 in front of the Magnolia Clubhouse and form carpools and return 4:30 - 5:00 (depending on the traffic)
